Gaura: A festival of happiness Gaura is one of the festivals celebrated by Hindu people, especially from the Far western and western region of Nepal. It is usually celebrated in the month of August/September. In this festival, Women worship the goddess Parbati (Wife of Shiva) praying for their husbands' health and prosperity. The festival starts with Biruda Panchami. On this day women submerse five different kinds of cereals.
