  Should you apply during the 12th or in Gap Year?  College application is a time-consuming and exhausting procedure for Nepali and international students. For domestic applicants, the admission process usually begins in ninth grade, when they have already been admitted to a college preparatory program. These are the schools whose main goal is to align their students with their ideal colleges. However, in our country, Nepal, most students do not consider applying until they are in or after the 12th grade. Some Terms You Must Know Before Applying To Universities EA It is an option where an applicant is allowed to submit his applicants before the regular deadlines. This also means that the applicant will receive his decision earlier. Usually, the deadline for EA is November 1. Some colleges that offer EA are MIT, University of Michigan, Georgia-tech, UChicago. This is not binding as ED ED It is an option to submit an application to your first-choice college before the regular deadline. However, this is binding which means if you get into your ED choice college, you are obligated to accept that offer and could not attend another college unless your financial need is not met. The deadline for ED is around November 1. Some colleges also offer ED2 which is ED but at a later date. Usually, the deadline for it is January 1.   US University application Procedure For Nepali applicant Hello Aspirants, I am a high school graduate of the Class of 2020 and an incoming freshman at NYUAD. I took a gap year and applied for Fall of 2021 and luckily got acceptance in some colleges and my dream college(where I will be going this fall). Although this year turned out to be dark for many applicants, I feel lucky to get that amazing acceptance alongside meeting my full need.  As writing played a vital role in my acceptance, I came up with the idea of sharing my knowledge and information about International Admissions with you guys through this medium.
