Pokhara : A place where I want to have a home

Our country is full of places where I could live but if I have to choose one it would definitely be pokhara. There are many more beautiful places than pokhara like Mustang, Rara, Khaptad etc but what's the point of living there if you can't easily get basic facilities and services. And also there are places like Kathmandu which is the capital of our country and is even more beautiful culturally and equal in naturally but the climate, pollution and weather is that creates a massive difference.

Although these places are really beautiful but they are not suitable for residing for a long time but pokhara is not only equally beautiful as those places but you can get every kind of facilities like health care services, education and easy transportation too. Also the climate of pokhara is moderate and is best for living neither too hot nor too cold with some mild rainfall.

For education Pokhara is home to Pokhara University which is one of the best in Nepal. There are a lot of engineering as well as medical college in Pokhara. There are also some of the best schools like Gandaki Boarding school (one of the best in Nepal) and many others.

Besides that, Pokhara is a valley that lies on the side of fewa lake  and the scenery of himalayas from pokhara is magnificent and the view   of  reflection of fishtail mountain on fewa lake is just one in the universe. Pokhara is also the cleanest city of Nepal and you can live a very healthy life there.

Pokhara is the popular  tourist destination in Nepal because of its natural and cultural beauty so there is a huge market of the tourism industry in pokhara. Also, pokhara is the entry point to many tourist destination such as Upper himalyan region of Mustang, annapurna circuit, manaslu circuit, dhorpatan hunting reserve, Bandipur and many more. You can also experience the gurung and thakali culture of gandaki region in pokhara. You can also do various adventurous activities such as boating, rafting, bungee-jumping and paragliding.

Pokhara us also famous for many things not only in lakes like there are many caves in pokhara. Mahendra Cave , Bat Cave are some of them to include. David falls named after a foreigner who died after falling to it is also major tourist destination. Pokhara has a very sound night life. You will see people walking in the side of fewa lake all night long. Pokhara has some of the best hotels, cafes, pubs and guest houses in Nepal. Pokhara is a blessing for our country.

Because of its  natural beauty, cultural diversity, suitable climate, clean environment, provision of all the facilities and services needed in a metropolitan city including the Pokhara international airport which is currently in the last phase of Construction, So  Pokhara is the place in my country where I would like to  reside.

NEB vs A level

Difference between NEB +2 board and CIE A levels - In +2 you can either choose science stream or any other stream or you are not allowed to took science and no science courses together and even some sciences are not allowed together like Biology and Computer Science but in A levels you can combine any sort of subjects.  - In A levels sciences practical exams are also highly important as you have to give your practical exams in your centre and its strictly monitored not as +2 where you perform practicals at your own college and teacher sends your marks and one thing you should know that cheating in A levels is like catching fish with your hand in river.      - There are only few colleges where you can study A levels and most of them are inside Kathmandu Valley and only few are in pokhara and one each in chitwan, butwal and biratnagar so there are fewer choices for you but there are thousands of +2 colleges in Nepal.  - A level exam is way vigo...

How should you start your college search?

Knowing your EFC and researching college   EFC which stands for Expected Family Contribution is a term that you will hear thousands of times while applying to universities especially if you are a student applying for financial aid.  EFC is the fixed amount of money your family is supposed to contribute to your college costs for one year. US universities are pretty expensive and for an average family, it is difficult to pay without taking loans.  However, US university education comes at a different range of prices. Columbia University in the City of Newyork, Uchicago. and Harvey Mudd College are some of the most expensive universities in the US with a sticker price of more than 80k dollars per year for tuition, room, and board. Brigham Young University’s three campuses are the cheapest with an annual tuition below 7000$. Also, you may find cheaper options at community colleges. Note: BYU-Provo is ranked inside the top 100 universities in the US.  Although EFC ...
