A memorable Journey
This trip is about a bus journey from Kathmandu to Baitadi, a part of farwestern Nepal. So it was my uncle's wedding so we have to go to our village in the winter of mid February. We were 4 people altogether including me , my father, mother and brother.
The journey was not new to me. I have travelled this route at least 10 times. Crossing hills, scenes of mountains and everlasting fields of terai, the journey is full of adventures. The scenery during this travel can give you an idea of how Nepal looks. Our journey started at 12 am from the buspark. It was raining too and I was at window seat and travelling with rain in a bus in window seat is really fun. Listening music enjoying the scenario
the bus travel was going well. And we had dinner in a place Gaidakot.
However, the landslide stopped our way just travelling after we had dinner as a large stone blocked our road. It was raining heavily at that moment and that rain was that I didn't enjoyed. We waited all night in the bus and the road was cleared next morning. We were late on the journey by almost 10 hours but fortunately we were very lucky that our bus again stopped due to technical failure near dang as engine failed. We stopped there for almost 3 hours and then finally our journey started. While stopping there we went to a local waterfall with one of the passenger of the bus who had visited there before, the scenario was really beautiful.
Although, the travel was very hectic, long and full of difficulties but I didn't get bored in any phase of my journey. I interacted with many unknown people.Elder people were busy talking about politics and government all day and it was interesting hearing their talks. The only thing that was disturbing was the cold weather. This experience helped me to build my patience and to communicate with strangers and It will always be memorable to me.
So, we finally reached our destination after 48 hours and I slept for a full day and night after I reached home as I didn't had not slept for past 3 nights. But finally being in the hometown, and breathing the fresh air, eating organic food, drinking fresh water directly from the muhan(waters natural source) all that made my journey much more memorable
